Consecration Week
March 3rd-9th | 2025
What is Consecration Week?
At BLC, Consecration Week is a time to take a step back from daily routines and focus on deepening our walk with the Lord. Through a series of fasts, worship, and guided prayer, we aim to draw closer to God, seeking renewal and spiritual growth.
During this week, we will pause most rehearsals, meetings, and activities on our campus. Programs like EAC that meet off-campus will operate on a limited basis.

How to Participate
-
Practice the fasts & additions assigned to each day.
-
Dedicate extra time to prayer at key moments throughout the day.
-
Engage in worship daily using the selected meditation songs.
-
If you’re in a Bible study group, continue meeting and supporting one another.

Daily Themes & Devotions
Each day of Consecration Week follows a spiritual focus with scripture, prayer guidance, and a worship song for reflection.
Monday - WORD DAY
Lent is a season of returning to God. For the beginning of this consecration week we begin with recentering ourselves on God’s Word.
Today, center yourself on Joel 2:12-13:
"Yet even now," declares the Lord, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and rend your hearts and not your garments." Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster.
Guided Reading:
Begin by reading Joel 2:12-13 aloud slowly, allowing the words to settle in your heart. Pause for a moment of silence, then read it again, this time reflecting on what it means to "return to the Lord" in your own life. Consider areas where you have turned away or become distracted. In a journal or quiet prayer, ask God to create in you a repentant heart as you enter this Lenten season. Conclude by meditating on God's grace and steadfast love, remembering that Lent is not only a time of repentance but also of renewal in His mercy.
Spend the following times in scripture and prayer for at least 10 minutes:
a) before school/work,
b) noon,
c) end of school/work,
d) after the evening meal,
e) before sleeping.
Use the following song and readings to guide your prayers.

MONDAY BEFORE SCHOOL/WORK
“3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.” -Romans 12:3-8
PRAYER THOUGHTS: I am unique. God has created me to serve Him. God has gifted Brothers and Sisters around me in unique ways to serve The Church and The World. God, search my life and consecrate me to do Your Will! Take time to praise God for the gifts He has given you. Take time to ask God to help you not only see your gifts, but use your gifts to His Glory.
MONDAY AT NOON
“6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” -1 Peter 5:6-7
PRAYER THOUGHTS: The Lord has created us unique—but He has created us to serve Him humbly. Pray that God would use His Will and His Way to humble you at this time. Can you think of some things that you feel anxious about? Some things you are scared about? Cast all those things in His direction right now knowing He cares for you.
MONDAY END OF SCHOOL/WORK
“35 Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”
.” -Mark 9:35
PRAYER THOUGHTS: We cannot put ourselves first. It is our call as Christians to make sure that we are in fact following Gods command ot make ourselves last. How do we do this? We must constantly think of our neighbor, putting their needs above our own. Who is your neighbor? Why is it important to serve them? Why are their needs important? What can putting myself last teach me spiritually?
MONDAY AFTER EVENING MEAL
“3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” -Philippians 2:3-4
PRAYER THOUGHTS: My selfishness has ruined things. Relationships, connections, and even in some cases my own future. My selfishness is the reflection of the sin in my heart, and I repent of times that I have been selfish. Times I have put myself above others. Times I have hurt others to gain. God, clear the selfishness from my heart. Give me a heart of service. How can I re-prioritize loving others? How can I look to the interests of those around me?
MONDAY BEFORE SLEEPING
“29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”-Matthew 11:29-30
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Oh Lord, help me to humble myself as a servant and learn from you. As I serve others, may I become more gentle and humble in my heart, mind, and spirit. As I lay my head to sleep, may I realize I can only find rest in YOU. AMEN
TUESDAY - FRUIT AND VEGETABLE FAST 6AM - 6PM
A fruit and vegetable fast is a simple yet meaningful way to observe Lent, reflecting the season’s call to repentance, self-denial, and spiritual renewal. By consuming only fruits, vegetables, and natural foods, participants step away from excess and focus on reliance on God for sustenance, mirroring Jesus’ 40 days of fasting in the wilderness.
Matthew 4:4 – "But he answered, 'It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
Guided Reading:
Begin by reading Matthew 4:4 aloud, slowly and intentionally. Reflect on Jesus' time in the wilderness and how He relied on God’s Word rather than physical food. Pause for a moment and consider: What am I relying on for strength, comfort, or fulfillment in this season? Read the verse again, this time asking God to deepen your dependence on Him. As you enter into this fruit and vegetable fast, let this passage remind you that true sustenance comes not from earthly food but from God's presence and truth. Close in silent prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to help you hunger for God’s Word as much as you hunger for food, allowing this fast to be a time of spiritual renewal.
Spend the following times in scripture and prayer for at least 10 minutes:
a) before school/work,
b) noon,
c) end of school/work,
d) after the evening meal,
e) before sleeping.
Use the following song and readings to guide your prayers.

TUESDAY BEFORE SCHOOL/WORK
“16 “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”-Matthew 6:16-18
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Lord, I fast not for the glory of man. I do not want others to know how “good” of a Christian I am, because I am not good. I am sinful, and my heart is full of deceit and pain. I reek of the smell of sin. Lord, help me realize I fast for YOU. I fast so that we may be brought closer. Not because I am moving toward you, but because you are moving toward me. As I deprive myself today, help me remember what you deprived yourself of. How you deprived yourself of life even though you were God. How you because weak, and lowly. Thank you for The Cross. Thank you for Your Mercy. I fast for you, God.
TUESDAY AT NOON
“4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[a]”” -Matthew 4:4
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Lord, help me remember the things we eat are for survival. This fasting period shows us that we need YOU to survive, and that our bodies have limitations. We need a Savior who is above bread. We need The Bread of Life that fills us up forever. May Your Word fill me up as I feel the pangs of hunger today—both physically and Spiritually.
TUESDAY END OF SCHOOL/WORK
“35 Jesus Wept.”
-John 11:35
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Lord, when you missed your friend and you were saddened that he had passed—you wept. Many take tears as a sign of weakness—but tears are silent strength. Tears connect us to our humanity. Tears keep us humble—we can miss people. We can miss memories. We can be hurt. But you, Lord, you are healing. You are the hand that wipes away each tear. You are the God who carries us trhough in times of weakness.
TUESDAY AFTER EVENING MEAL
24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.26 What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
-Matthew 16:24-26
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Lord—a life in you is not an easy life. The things of this world—fashions, designs, material tings, popular culture—would beg me that this “Faith” is foolishness. However God, I do not listen to those voices—I listen to Your Voice. I live like nobody else, because you lived like nobody else. I keep Your Word on my heart and on my lips. I want nothing apart from you, and I want to store nothing up that would offend you. Thank you, Jesus, telling me to pick up my cross and follow you.
TUESDAY BEFORE SLEEPING
“1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2     He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3     he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.”
-Psalm 23
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Oh Lord, as I lay my head to sleep, may I have the Psalmists words on my lips. You lead me and guide me. You prepare a place for me. You promise to never leave me. You promise to be with me—all the days of my life. Thank you, Jesus. AMEN.
WEDNESDAY - FINANCIAL FAST DAY
Plan this as a NO SPEND DAY—you are FINANCIALLY fasting. No eating out, no grocery shopping, no spending money of any kind today. Instead, prepare an offering with your family and give to someone/some organization that is less fortunate. Spend NOTHING and bless someone today.
Today, center yourself on Matthew 6:19-21
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Guided Reading:
Read Matthew 6:19-21 slowly, reflecting on Jesus' teaching about wealth and priorities. Pause and ask yourself: Where do I place my security—on earthly possessions or in God’s provision? Consider how a financial fast—reducing spending, giving sacrificially, or abstaining from unnecessary purchases—can help reorient your heart toward eternal treasures. Read the passage again, this time meditating on how God invites you to trust in His provision rather than material wealth. Spend time in prayer, asking God to reveal areas where money or possessions may have a greater hold on your heart than they should. Commit this day to seeking His kingdom above all else, using this financial fast as an act of worship and realignment with His will.
Spend the following times in scripture and prayer for at least 10 minutes:
a) before school/work,
b) noon,
c) end of school/work,
d) after the evening meal,
e) before sleeping.
Use the following song and readings to guide your prayers.

WEDNESDAY BEFORE SCHOOL/WORK
“19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy,[c] your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy,[d] your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
-Matthew 6:19-24
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Lord, I do not want to store things up. I do not want to make my finances a crutch for what you have for me. I TRUST you with my finances. I know I cannot serve two masters—I serve YOU GOD. May I look to you, the Provider, as the one that my treasure will be released from. You promise to take care of me, and you promise to supply my needs. Increase in me the ability to trust you!
WEDNESDAY AT NOON
“Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. 2 With his wife’s full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles’ feet.
3 Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? 4 Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”
5 When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard what had happened.6 Then some young men came forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him.
7 About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. 8 Peter asked her, “Tell me, is this the price you and Ananias got for the land?”
“Yes,” she said, “that is the price.”
9 Peter said to her, “How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.”
10 At that moment she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband. 11 Great fearseized the whole church and all who heard about these events.
’[a]”” -Acts 5:1-11
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Lord, help me remember to be HONEST with you about everything—especially my finances. I want no lies between us. Let me lay everything at your feet, and use me as your instrument. Use my finances as yours. Control my mind that I may be led by you and you alone.
WEDNESDAY END OF SCHOOL/WORK
“25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
-Matthew 16:25-34
PRAYER THOUGHTS: God, worry is my enemy. It is the attempt for me to control things around me. There IS NO CONTROL if it is MY CONTROL—only YOUR CONTROL can regin. Help me to understand this deeply, and to see that through it all you have taken care of me. You have taken care of my family. Even with what you do NOT give me—you take care of me. Take worry from my mind. May I give all my cares to you. You take care of me.
WEDNESDAY AFTER EVENING MEAL
“7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
-1 Peter 5:7
PRAYER THOUGHTS: I need to cast ALL my cares on you, God. But Lord—it is hard. Help me, right now, spend time in Deep prayer as I have just returned from Ash Wednesday Worship. Let me place everything in your hands. I entrust all my finances to you, and I return them to you for YOUR USE. Thank you for being a Provider! Thank you for caring, even when it feels nobody else in life will.
WEDNESDAY BEFORE SLEEPING
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”-Psalm 46:10
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Oh Lord, as I lay my head to sleep, may I have the Psalmists words on my lips. May I be still and know that YOU are God. Let me decrease so you may increase. Thank you, Jesus. AMEN.
THURSDAY - WORSHIP DAY
Worship is more than just singing songs—it is a lifestyle of surrender, gratitude, and devotion to God. On this Worship Day, set aside time to intentionally praise God, not only with your voice but with your heart, mind, and actions. True worship shifts our focus from ourselves to the greatness of God, reminding us of His power, love, and faithfulness. As we enter into this time of worship, let us prepare our hearts to encounter Him fully, allowing our praise to be an offering that flows from gratitude and trust.
Today, center yourself on John 4:23-24
"But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
Guided Reading:
Read John 4:23-24 slowly, reflecting on Jesus’ words to the Samaritan woman. Consider what it means to worship God in spirit and in truth—not just outwardly, but with a heart fully devoted to Him. Ask yourself: Am I worshiping God with authenticity and passion, or has my worship become routine? Read the passage again, this time meditating on the truth that God seeks worshipers who approach Him sincerely. As you enter into worship today, let go of distractions and offer your full self to God—through song, prayer, reflection, and acts of love. Close by thanking God for who He is and asking Him to deepen your understanding of true worship, that your life may be a continual offering of praise.
Spend the following times in scripture and prayer for at least 10 minutes:
a) before school/work,
b) noon,
c) end of school/work,
d) after the evening meal,
e) before sleeping.

THURSDAY BEFORE SCHOOL/WORK
“2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”-Romans 12:2
PRAYER THOUGHTS: God, you have created me for a purpose. I do not belong to this world, but heaven is my home. The patterns of the world are not mine to grab on to, but only you. Help me to discern your will. As I deny my body, may I connect further with you in prayer and supplication.
THURSDAY AT NOON
“ I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”-John 4:1-26
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Lord, because of who you are, I must understand who I am. You are the bread of life, and I am hungry. Literally! Right now I must be focused on consuming you. I must be focused on taking you in. The beauty of knowing you is when you take me deeper into who you are. You came down from heaven for me. You went low, so that you could lift me up high. Thank you, Jesus!
THURSDAY END OF SCHOOL/WORK
“Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John—2 although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized, but his disciples. 3 So he left Judea and went back once more to Galilee.
4 Now he had to go through Samaria. 5 So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. 6 Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.
7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” 8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)
9 The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.[a])
10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”
11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water?12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”
13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”
16 He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.”
17 “I have no husband,” she replied.
Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband. 18 The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.”
19 “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet.20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.”
21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now comewhen the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
25 The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ)“is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”
26 Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am he.”
-John 4:1-26
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Lord—you are HE! You are the living well, the living water that has come down from heaven. Yet, like the woman in the story, we fall short. We mess up. We fail you. Lord, you have come, and Your Word explains everything to us. Commit me to the study of this Word! AMEN!
THURSDAY AFTER EVENING MEAL
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.-Galatians 5:22-23
PRAYER THOUGHTS: God—I want to see fruit in my life. But the fruit only comes from being connected to you. What do I need to grow in from this scriptural list? What have you blessed me with? Focus me at this time to grow in you.
THURSDAY BEFORE SLEEPING
Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge.
2 I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.”
3 I say of the holy people who are in the land,
“They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”
4 Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more.
I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods
or take up their names on my lips.
5 Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup;
    you make my lot secure.
6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.
7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
nor will you let your faithful[b] one see decay.
11 You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Psalm 6
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Oh Lord, as I lay my head to sleep, may I have the Psalmists words on my lips. May I take refuge in YOU AND YOU ALONE. Let me decrease so you may increase. Thank you, Jesus. AMEN.
FRIDAY - PURGE DAY
A Purge Day is a time to intentionally clear away distractions, clutter, and anything that hinders your spiritual walk. This can include material possessions, unhealthy habits, toxic thoughts, or anything that takes up space in your life but does not draw you closer to God. Just as Jesus cleansed the temple, we are called to examine our hearts and lives, removing what does not honor Him. Today is an opportunity to let go of the excess and create room for God to move, refocusing your heart on what truly matters.
Today, center yourself on Hebrews 12:1-2
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God."
Guided Reading:
Read Hebrews 12:1-2 slowly, reflecting on the imagery of laying aside every weight that holds us back. Ask yourself: What burdens, distractions, or sins are keeping me from running my race with endurance? Consider both physical clutter and internal struggles—fear, resentment, unhealthy attachments, or anything that takes your focus off Christ. Read the passage again, this time praying for the strength to release what is unnecessary and trust God for what is needed. Take action by physically decluttering your space, fasting from a habit, or writing down areas you need to surrender to God. End in prayer, asking Jesus to help you fix your eyes on Him and walk forward in freedom, unburdened and renewed.
Spend the following times in scripture and prayer for at least 10 minutes:
a) before school/work,
b) noon,
c) end of school/work,
d) after the evening meal,
e) before sleeping.
Use the following song and readings to guide your prayers.

FRIDAY AT NOON
“ 35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. 36 Simon and his companions went to look for him, 37 and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”-Mark 1:35-37
PRAYER THOUGHTS: God—I want to come away with you. Take me away from all of the distractions in this world, and lead me to a solitary place. A place where I listen and you speak. Make me more like you, Jesus, in focusing on Spiritual things above. In your name I pray. AMEN.

-Jonah 2:7

FRIDAY BEFORE SLEEPING
1 Answer me when I call to you,
    my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;
have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
2 How long will you people turn my glory into shame?
How long will you love delusions and seek false gods[b]?[c]
3 Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself;
the Lord hears when I call to him.
4 Tremble and[d] do not sin;
when you are on your beds,
search your hearts and be silent.
5 Offer the sacrifices of the righteous
    and trust in the Lord.
6 Many, Lord, are asking, “Who will bring us prosperity?”
Let the light of your face shine on us.
7 Fill my heart with joy
when their grain and new wine abound.
8 In peace I will lie down and sleep,
    for you alone, Lord,
    make me dwell in safety.
Psalm 4
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Oh Lord, as I lay my head to sleep, may I have the Psalmists words on my lips. The light of Your Face lights my path. Let me decrease so you may increase. Thank you, Jesus. AMEN.
SATURDAY - SERVE DAY
A Serve Day is an opportunity to embody the love of Christ through acts of service, generosity, and compassion. Jesus Himself came not to be served, but to serve (Matthew 20:28), showing us that true greatness in the kingdom of God is found in humility and love. Whether serving in your community, helping a neighbor, or offering kindness in small ways, today is a chance to reflect Christ’s servant heart. As you serve, remember that you are not just performing tasks—you are being the hands and feet of Jesus, sharing His love with the world.
Today, center yourself on Galatians 5:13
"For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another."
Guided Reading:
Read Galatians 5:13 slowly, reflecting on the connection between freedom and service. God has set us free—not for selfish gain, but so that we might use our lives to love and serve others. Ask yourself: How can I use my time, gifts, and energy to serve someone today? Read the verse again, this time asking the Holy Spirit to reveal opportunities for service in your daily life. Then, take action—whether by volunteering, helping someone in need, or offering encouragement. As you serve, do it with joy, knowing that every act of love, no matter how small, reflects the heart of Jesus. End in prayer, thanking God for the privilege to serve and asking Him to help you cultivate a servant’s heart beyond today.
Spend the following times in scripture and prayer for at least 10 minutes:
a) before school/work,
b) noon,
c) end of school/work,
d) after the evening meal,
e) before sleeping.

SATURDAY MORNING/BEFORE WORK
“37 Do not [w]judge, and you will not be judged; and do not [x]condemn, and you will not be condemned; [y]pardon, and you will be pardoned. 38 Give, and it will be given to you. They will [z]pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” -Luke 6:37-38
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Lord—make me a giver. My resources are not for myself, but to be shared amongst the people of God. Help me give with cheer! Help me purge with intention. In Jesus name— AMEN
SATURDAY AT NOON
33 But [u]seek first [v]His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be [w]provided to you.
34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will [x]worry about itself. [y]Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:33-34
PRAYER THOUGHTS: God—I seek you first. Ease my worries. Help me to not be anxious in anything I do, but instead to trust in you. Take it out of my hands—my life is in your hands. In your name I pray. AMEN.
SATURDAY END OF SCHOOL/WORK
“25 Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you.
26 Give careful thought to the[c] paths for your feet

    keep your foot from evil.”
-Proverbs 4:25-27
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Lord—I fix my eyes on you! May you guide my footsteps as I walk. May you be my compass as I move. You set the direction god—I look to you. AMEN!
SATURDAY AFTER EVENING MEAL
“16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”-2 Corinthians 4:16-18
PRAYER THOUGHTS: God—this life is not forever. These things are not forever. Things are fading away…but you remain. Thank you Jesus! Let me focus on things that matter—on you. Disconnect me from the world and reconnect me to you. AMEN
SATURDAY BEFORE SLEEPING
1 How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
and day after day have sorrow in my heart?
How long will my enemy triumph over me?
3 Look on me and answer, Lord my God.
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death,
4 and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,”
and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
5 But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
6 I will sing the Lord’s praise,
for he has been good to me.
Psalm 13
PRAYER THOUGHTS: God—hear me. Focus me. Do not allow evil or self-deprecating thoughts to enter into me. You are my all—you are my rock and redeemer. I sing your praise and I honor you, God. May there be less of me and more of you. AMEN.
